Couples & Family Therapy
Whether you are looking to strengthen your partnership or navigate complex family dynamics, our closest relationships require intentional investment. It is all too common for couples and families to find themselves stuck in repetitive arguments, feeling distant, or struggling to navigate major life transitions together.
You don’t have to guess your way forward. I provide a highly structured, evidence-based, and systems-focused approach to help relationships heal, step out of negative cycles, and build a deeply connected foundation for the whole household.
Common Areas of Focus:
This space is designed to help you take the guesswork out of relationship dynamics. We frequently work on:
Communication & Healing from Hurt
Moving past criticism, defensiveness, and stonewalling to talk about hard things constructively. Together, we provide a safe, guided framework to process systemic disconnects or breaches of trust and rebuild safety.
Restoring Intimacy & Connection
Rebuilding friendship, appreciation, and emotional safety when you feel more like roommates than partners. We work to restore the warmth and vulnerability that brought you together.
Navigating Transitions
Managing the intense relationship shifts that come with major milestones—including career changes, marriage, complex infertility journeys, or the challenging adjustment to parenting.
Couple Therapy Clinical Framework: The Gottman Method
I utilize The Gottman Method for relationship therapy, an approach backed by over 40 years of research with thousands of couples. Because I am Level 2 trained in this method, our work together won't just be about venting—it will be active, practical, and skill-based.
In sessions, we use the Sound Relationship House framework to evaluate your relationship's strengths and areas for growth. Together, we focus on:

-
Building Love Maps: Deepening your understanding of one another's psychological worlds.
-
Turning Towards: Learning how to notice and respond to your partner's micro-bids for connection and affection.
-
Managing Conflict: Developing specific tools to de-escalate verbal conflict, accept influence, and practice self-soothing when flooded.
